The LA-Based Label, Tank Air, Uses Deadstock Fabric To Design the Majority of Their Dreamy Collection.
Founded in 2019 by Claire Robertson-Macleod, Tank Air is that kind of brand that will score you major compliments. Designed with the belief that clothing can make you feel powerful and confident, but doesn’t mean we need to be serious, you can expect sheer fluid silhouettes, ruched form-fitting tops, and sexy basics with a twist.
100% of Tank Air's collection is designed and produced locally in Downtown Los Angeles where sustainable and ethical practices are at the brand's core. Each piece is designed with intent and in small quantities to ensure limited waste. The majority of the pieces are made from luxury deadstock fabric and new fabric is only manufactured when the brand cannot find fabric that meets their quality standards. To date, the brand can claim that 95% of their pieces are made from sustainable fabric and 100% of their mailers are compostable.
